When they realize that Coe's headquarters is in the cavern that will one day become the Bat-Cave, they help him with Colonial Age versions of their crime fighting apparatus.; The microfilm from Batman's crime file is stolen from the Bat-Cave. It is then a race against time to apprehend the villains, before they start to use the information to give them the edge over the Dynamic Duo.; Villainous Paul King captures Batman and Robin, he then sets about devising an inescapable trap, based on Robin's recollections about their previous ingenious escapes.; Reporter Dave Purdy saves Batman by dazzling an approaching murderer with the Bat Signal. The Masked Manhunter is happy to let Purdy have the credit, even though he had been forced to do an impromptu wiring job which enabled the intrepid reporter's plan to work.; Batman gets word that one of his inventions is to be used against him, he and Robin must then examine their many crime fighting innovations for clues.
