Red Robin investigates the infected children who were present during the fight against Professor Pyg. This leads him to a building in the Narrows where he finds that the sickness is caused by nanobots that he accidentally activates. Vicki Vale is also in the Narrows running down a lead on potential gang wars. She's saved from gang members by Harper Row. All three groups, Red Robin and the nanobots, Vicki and Harper, and the gang members all end up in the same apartment where the nanobots take out the gang members and enter Harper's brother Cullen. The nanobot activation is noticed in Japan.
