Betty gets a job as an intern with WPBJ, Channel 10 in Riverdale. Her first assignment is to assist reporter Mandy Moffet and Mandy instantly sees her as a potential threat to her position. She tries to give Betty menial tasks to keep her out of the way. But a tip from Jughead gives Betty a chance to break a scandal involving the Mayor's office on the air.; Feeling threatened by Betty, Mandy tries to sabotage Betty with Mr. Funt and almost succeeds in getting her fired.; Betty invites Dexter over to her home to watch television. When Archie and Veronica hear about it, they just have to get a look at him, and the four adjourn to Pop's Chok'lit Shoppe. Archie dislikes Dexter at first, while Veronica wonders if coming on to Dexter might make Archie more interested in her.
