On a trip aboard a ship that allows the public to observe whales, Betty and Veronica observe three whales that demonstrate behavior remarkably like the behavior they display with Archie.; On a trip to Yellowstone National Park, Mr. Lodge's private jet has to put down in the desert for repairs. While they wait the repairs out, Betty and Veronica have some fun filming a desert tortoise for a nature documentary Betty is making for a school project.; While camping in Yellowstone National Park, Betty takes the time to tape more wildlife for her documentary. Meanwhile Veronica goes to war with a brown bear that has stolen her travel bag full of expensive make up.; After having a nightmare, Veronica becomes convinced to campaign for animal preservation. She also unwittingly makes Betty's documentary a howling success.
