Skyman saves Fawn and an Army Major from being blown up in their launch by a torpedo. He is told that mysterious submarines have been preying on the U.S. Merchant Marine the past two months, and no ship is sunk: they just disappear in mid-ocean.; The Face swipes the Sandstone Buddha from a pair of crooks, then seeks out a Dr. Franck to learn more about the object. Thinking that there is more to the doctor's explanation, Tony decides to examine the object himself and makes a startling discovery!; The Colonel and Captain Devildog are informed that inventor Powell has been captured by a notorious girl bandit, who seeks the man's special two-way radio he has invented. Through Powell's invention, Steele communicates as the wooden god Deli to convince the natives and Pari to release the inventor.; Knobby believes that Weidebottom accepted money from a gambler to have Joe lose to Duke Dropper in an exhibition fight, and when Joe's promoter attempts to get a rematch, Duke refuses. So Knobby comes up with a sure-fire scheme to get that match!; Jeff and his friend see Jeff's dog in action, whom Jeff believes can be effectively used to trail spies. Lars has created a new type of rifle and believes the spies were after it. However, once the spies succeed in taking the rifle, Jeff uses Rex to trail them and round them up.; After quelling a mutiny, Rocky continues his quest for the white whale that spawns near the bed of valuable pearls, and landing ashore, he seeks natives to act as pearl divers....but all refuse until they see Rocky himself dive.; Marvelo is approached by two men, who relate to him a story from 1783 in which a French frigate carrying gold to the New World foundered on the rocks.
