Wanting to make sure that Melrose defeats Farr in the upcoming game, several gamblers attempt to kidnap Dick Cole. However, the attempt fails and Dick is saved by Simba, and, together, in the game, both give the Melrose team all it can handle.....and more! Unfortunately, after the game, when the evil Dr. Karno convinces Simba to steal plans from Major Farr's desk, he and Dick find that they have another job to do.....on the doctor!; Returning from their Alaskan adventure, Sub-Zero and his Eskimo friend Freezum are passing through a suburb when they hear screams coming from a nearby cottage. Breaking into the home, they discover the owner dead, stabbed in the throat by a midget. Captured, the midget reveals that he, Cragg, and Harris had pooled their efforts to steal the circus receipts, then Harris ran off with all the money.; Returning to Ghost Town after defeating the Cyclops, Sgt. Spook is convinced by Dr. Sherlock to go to the mortal world and assist in stopping those who would do anything to halt defense efforts. His first mission is to defeat those agents who wish to steal an American tank.; The Twister battles a servant of the ancient god Thor, who, speaking for Thor, uses a hypnotic vibration device on the workers of an airplane plant, which brings them under hypnotic control. Their task is to destroy that airplane plant and others because they are a perceived threat to Thor.; At deportation headquarters, Blue Bolt is faced with what to do with a large number of illegal aliens, in this country on forged papers, all obtained from the evil A.C. Ring. He decides to pose as an illegal and try to get papers, all to discover who is behind the plot and hopefully break it up.; The crew of the Phantom Sub converts it into the largest amphibian as well beginning the transformation process to make this vessel an air worthy machine. Once completed, the vessel is taken on its first test flight, during which they shoot down an enemy aircraft.; After helping a cattleman lead his herd across a swollen river, White Rider accepts a job with him to help rid the frontier of the ruthless bushwackers that inhabit the region.; Mr. Gravedigger, who has turned out to be a spy in the pay of the enemy, throws the Captain of the ship, Krisko and Jasper into the bilge. Soon the ship is attacked and sunk, but all three prisoners are re-captured and put to work as oarsmen until land is sighted and Gravedigger and friend cast the prisoners adrift back into the ocean.; Eddie discovers that the two little girls accompanying them on their cruise to the South Seas have been captured by German agents, who plan to blow up the Panama Canal with a time bomb when the ship passes through.; Cap tells his pal Joey about the French spirit, today under the control of Nazi Germany, but a nation which has traditionally had to struggle for its freedom and independence, and will do so again.
