Detectives Sato and Takagi go out on a clandestine date to a water park, because they don't want the precinct to gossip about them. There they run into Conan and the Junior Detective League. Conan then notices that Inspector Santos has mobilized the entire precinct's detective squad to spy on Sato and Takagi in hopes of ruining the date. And then, Takagi accidentally picks up the wrong back pack and discovers it filled with cocaine.; Conan and Takagi trace the drug smuggler and, with the aid of the detective squad following them, apprehend him.; Forced to seek shelter after Richard allows their car to be swept down river, Conan and the Moores accept the hospitality of a tennis pro they met earlier. Later, at dinner, the pro's father is found hanging from the ceiling by a noose.; Conan has solved who committed the murder and how. But a case of laryngitis prevents him from using the voice modulator and he can't use Richard as the surrogate for his deductions.; After hearing the story of a girl Dr. Agasa had a crush on as a youth and how they were separated, The Junior Detective League decides to track her down.; Conan solves the mystery and Dr. Agasa has a very bittersweet reunion.; After Richard spends the advance he got for a case, then can't solve the case, Rachel calls her mother to help out. Rather than pay the debt Richard has incurred, Eva decides to solve the case for him.; Sato and Takagi, with Conan's help, search the park for the cocaine smugglers. Santos and the detective squad, believing Sato and Takagi are running off to elope, mobilize to stop them.; Richard and the police conclude the hanging was a suicide. But Conan thinks differently and begins pointing out clues to get them to reconsider.; The Junior Detective League's investigations lead them to several old acquaintances of Dr. Agasa, but not to the woman they're seeking.
