At a high school baseball tournament in Hyogo, Harley gets a phone call from someone threatening to blow up Koshien Stadium and all the spectators if he can't find the caller by the bottom of the ninth inning.; From his surveillance point, Conan spots the slasher out of disguise. Later, Anita declines the FBI's offer to place her in the Witness Protection Program.; Richard, with Conan tagging along, tries to track down the missing owner of a cell phone.; Conan decodes the notations on the cell phone caller index and discovers a plot to bribe local officials.; Richard proposes a sleuthing contest to decide whether they attend the event Harley wants to see or the one Kazuha wants to see. Each team has to solve the murder of a toy company executive who left a dying clue on the faces of four child's blocks.; In spite of his best intentions, Harley solves the case.; After Conan and Sato determine that the slasher drives a Mazda Infiniti, a surveillance is set up to observe everyone driving that make of car until the slasher can be determined.; When the cell phone owner turns up dead, Richard and Conan begin retracing his steps to see if they can track down who he was fleeing from.; The police narrow the suspects down to four. But they miss a clue that points Conan and Harley in the right direction.; Conan and Harley solve the killing, but they try to unobtrusively pass the information to Kazuha so she'll win the contest.; A bomb goes off in the offices of a transportation company near the stadium, spurring Conan and Harley to work faster to trace the suicide bomber.
