After hitting his head, Bugs loses his memory. Finding a wallet nearby, he assumes the identity of Herbert Q. Strongheart of the F.B.I. While walking in his sleep, Bugs routs a gang of bandits.; Elmer joins the Foreign Legion to get away from Bugs. After being assigned to a remote desert fort, Elmer is dismayed when Bugs finds him while working as a peddler. Elmer goes undercover to spy on the bandit Abu Hu. He tries to get the bandits to take care of Bugs by giving him his Legion uniform, but the scheme backfires.; To earn a $10 recruiting bonus, Bugs tries to get Elmer to sign up to work in the Sapperian salt mines.; When his house leaks in a rainstorm, Bugs comes to Elmer's house. After bedding down on the floor, Bugs notes that Elmer does a lot of acrobatics while he's asleep.; Bugs is hired to be a dog-walker, but delegates the job to a sleep-walker.; Bugs tries to sell Elmer some brushes.
