Goober and the twins go into the private detective business.; Measles is tied up while the kids go fishing. He breaks free, but is chased by the dog-catcher. The pair end up at the kids' fishing spot where the dog-catcher falls in the water and Measles has to save him.; Goober's mother sends him to grocery store to get a dozen eggs. On the way he meets the twins, who go with him. On the way back the three meet "Floppem," the clown, who pulls a nasty trick on them with the eggs.; Jeannie and Johnnie try to avoid Mrs. McMeany, who always has them run errands in return for stale ginger cookies. Their plan backfires and they miss an impromptu party given by Mrs. McMeany for the neighborhood kids.; Goober makes a profit in retrieving a penny he dropped down a sidewalk grate.; Goober takes the job when the twins' baby-sitter quits.; Goober uses his squirt-gun to give a thirsty bird a drink.
