While on a trip to Egypt, Elmer is hired by Prof. Piltdown to guard a "Rana Catesbiana." That's the scientific name for a bullfrog; but Elmer thinks he's guarding an ancient relic of the Pharoahs, as do a trio of local crooks.; A scientist uses a time machine to send Elmer back to the prehistoric time of cavemen and dinosaurs to collect examples of primitive weapons. Later two crooks on the run force the scientist to use the machine on them and they end up in the same era as Elmer.; Elmer tries to get away for a vacation at the beach, but Daffy happens to be there and drives him crazy, as usual.; Elmer discovers that all the clovers in his carrot patch are four-leaf clovers and sells them as good luck charms. Instead of bringing good luck, the clovers bring bad luck and Elmer has to repair all the damage.; Bugs sells Elmer a boat-building kit--a log and an ax.; Elmer's hotel room is infested with mice.
