Elmer and Yosemite Sam have misadventures while following Bradford, a dog Sam has taught to detect gold.; Elmer buys a used circus cannon and tries to teach Daffy to be a human cannonball.; Elmer hires Sylvester as an exterminator to rid his house of mice.; Bugs disguises himself as a dog in order to get into Elmer's carrot patch.; Elmer has a series of mishaps when he tries to go on a picnic without Bugs.; While out duck-hunting, Elmer follows what he thinks are duck tracks, only to find that it's Bugs wearing swim fins.; Elmer is the only one keeping cool on a hot day.; When his bicycle tire goes flat, Elmer uses a string of sausages as a replacement.
