A scientist invents a "Kayo" raygun to snuff out life. Felix takes it and inverts the controls so that it becomes an animation ray, giving life to inanimate objects.; When Felix comes under the influence of an unlucky star, he takes a rocket trip tour of the Zodiac where he pulls an arrow out of Leo the Lion's paw. Leo then becomes his protector and promises only good luck for him.; Felix goes through history and comes up with the idea for the first bulldog, the saw, the goose, the leopard, the rocking chair, the shave and haircut, the doughnut, the cradle, and the compass. He then helps a jester use a crystal ball to make a king laugh.; Felix uses a "ring the bell" carnival machine to knock a duck out of the sky to roast for dinner.; Felix paints a picture of a tree and calls it "Autumn." A strong wind blows through the window and blows all the leaves off the tree in the painting.; Felix ties balloons together to make a pig to enter at the county fair.
