In a flashback story, we see one of Scarlett's earlier missions she was on when she was young and had just joined the Joes. Her mission, alongside Breaker and Rock N Roll, was to infiltrate Madame Umbra's fortress and destroy her operations, since it was suspected she was using it to funnel funds into terrorist organizations via her money-making plan of exchanging prisoners of super nations for a fee. In the end, the mission succeeded, but Umbra killed herself, and Scarlett swore to make herself a better agent, since Umbra took advantage of that.
