Inuyasha has Sesshomaru lined up for a killing stroke, but can't deliver it. Badly wounded, Sesshomaru is found by a young girl, who attempts to bind the demon's wounds.; Young Rin's efforts to help Sesshomaru are rejected by the demon. Returning to her village, she finds it under attack by a pack of wolves led by a humanoid wolf demon searching for a Shikon Shard stolen from him.; Finding Rin killed by wolves, Sesshomaru uses the Tensaiga to restore her to life. Meanwhile Inuyasha encounters Koga and Kagome realizes the wolf demon has Shikon Shards embedded in his legs and right arm.; Inuyasha and Koga battle for supremacy.; Koga sets up an ambush so he can abduct Kagome and use her ability to see Shikon Shards in his war against the Harpy demons.; Miroku discovers a trail left by Shippo leading to the wolf lair. Koga decides that after the harpies are dealt with, he'll take Kagome for his mate.; Kagome discovers the King of the Harpies also possesses a Shikon Shard. He and Koga battle for each others shards.; Koga has his hands full fighting the King of the Harpies on one side and an enraged Inuyasha on the other.; The King of the Harpies attacks Koga and rips the shard from his arm, forcing Inuyasha to defend Koga with the Tetsusaiga.; After breaking up a fight between Koga and Inuyasha for her affections, Kagome and Inuyasha get into an argument and she flees to the twentieth century.
