Living memories taken from the Onigumo portion of Naraku, Muso tries to abduct Kagome thinking she is Kikyo.; Muso returns to the cave where Onigumo became Naraku. Meanwhile Naraku sends Kagura to tell Inuyasha where Muso is.; Muso, with Onigumo's mind in full possession of his body, attacks Inuyasha, blaming him for Kikyo's death.; When Inuyasha proves unable to permanently kill Muso, Naraku steps in.; Naraku absorbs Muso back into himself, giving him a mystic shield that will resist Inuyasha's wind scar attack.; In order to gain the power to sunder any shield, Inuyasha must slay the Lord of the Ogre Bats. Traveling to their lair, he finds a village who recently were forced to turn over a child fathered by the Lord's son with a human woman.; Myoga tells Inuyasha that in order for Tetsusaiga to gain its shield-piercing power, he must kill Shiori. And Lord Taigokumaru reneges on his deal with Shiori's mother.; Using Shiori as his protection, Lord Taigokumaru attacks the village and Inuyasha.; Learning that her grandfather killed her father, Shiori expels him from her shield and leaves him to Inuyasha.; Shiori offers to allow Inuyasha to strengthen his sword by breaking the mystic orb which channels her demon shield power. But her grandfather objects.
