Inuyasha slays Jyakotsu, then takes off for Naraku's suddenly revealed hiding place. Renkotsu steals the shard from Jyakotsu's dead body. Kikyo tries to absolve Hakushin of his guilt so he may pass on.; While a human Inuyasha battles for his life against Jyakotsu, Miroku and Sango hear the tale of how Hakushin was tempted in a moment of weakness by Naraku.; Miroku uses his wind tunnel to break the barrier around Mount Hakurei, allowing Inuyasha to become a half-demon again.; Kikyo gives Hakushin the peace to pass on. When he does, Mount Hakurei explodes in a shower of demons. Bankotsu kills Renkotsu for his shards, then confronts Inuyasha before he can reach Naraku.; Bankotsu battles Inuyasha as the mountain comes down around them. Miroku and Sango encounter in their attempt to escape the inner caverns of the mountain the black pit where Naraku lurks.; Kagura keeps Miroku and Sango at bay while Naraku heals. Bankotsu and Inuyasha continue to fight. Kagome and Koga lead an assault on Naraku's hiding place.; Miroku and Sango discover that Naraku is trying to give birth to a new demon familiar. And Bankotsu and Inuyasha are still at it.; Inuyasha finally kills Bankotsu, only to see the ground of the cave try to swallow them both.; Both Inuyasha and Koga are swallowed up by the mountain. Kagome and Shippo travel on, find Miroku and Sango stuck in a gigantic birthing chamber where Naraku is using the bodies of dead demons to birth his latest creation.; Naraku reforms in a body so powerful that even the Wind Scar can't damage him.
