The countryside is suddenly rampant with monsters patched together from the corpses of animals and demons.; Koga is attacked by Hakudoshi and a humanoid demon pieced together from demon parts, seeking Koga's Shikon shards.; Moryomaru seems impervious to all of Inuyasha's attacks, and his desire for Shikon shards puts both Koga and Kagome in danger.; After the battle, Miroku discovers that Hakudoshi has made off with the crystals of demon energy they were using to track the nulling stone.; Kagura gives Sesshomaru a crystal of demon energy to allow him to trace Akago. The gang encounter a village girl who is the marriage target of a local demon, and she believes that she is already engaged to Miroku.; The Lake Guardian comes to claim his bride. Shima claims that she is no longer pure because of Miroku. Sango gets very irritated.; Denied Shima, the Lake Guardian decides to abduct Sango as his bride.; Three children armed with demon slaying objects are roaming the countryside killing demons and dragging off their corpses.; Following the children back to a sinister temple, the gang encounters their leader: a holy man with a demonic arm grafted to his body.; Seeking to test Goryomaru, Kagura kills some gathered demons and animates their corpses to attack the temple.
