Hakudoshi kills Goryomaru, allowing Kanna to reclaim Akago and flee to an ogre-shaped cliff.; While Inuyasha battles Kagura and her animated demon corpses, Kagome is attacked by Goryomaru for her Shikon Shard.; Goryomaru saves Kagome from Kagura, but she suspects he's being manipulated by Naraku. Kagura is saved from destruction by Sesshomaru and offers to tell him where Naraku's heart is.; Miroku and the others discover Buddhist statues in a cave of demon corpses. Hakudoshi and Kagura attack Goryomaru's temple.; Kagura, fearing for her life, leads Inuyasha and the others to Naraku's hiding place. Sesshomaru discovers that someone has disinterred Goryomaru's body.; Naraku traps Inuyasha and the others in the stomach of a giant ogre and leaves them to die.; Inuyasha attempts to use the Shikon Shard to augment Tetsusaiga's power. But the moment it leaves Kagome's hand, it turns dark and changes Inuyasha into a ravenous demon.; Kikyo encounters Kanna and Akago and attempts to kill the baby with Naraku's heart. Miroku falls ill from poison he took in while attempting to kill Naraku. Kagura is assigned to guard Goryomaru's body.; Sango and Inuyasha go looking for the legendary Medicine Merchant, an obscenely handsome man selling herbs that will cure any affliction. But as they go, they discover the Medicine Merchant may not be all he seems.; The Medicine Merchant will give Sango his all-powerful antidote, but only if she lets him suck her blood.
