Goryomaru attacks Kagome while Inuyasha is stuck in human form, seeking her Shikon Shards.; The group comes across the carcass of a wild dog that was possessed by a grass root demon called a Hitokon. They learn from the villagers that it was killed by Kohaku.; The grass root demon possesses a little boy and Kohaku is faced with the prospect of killing him or disobeying Naraku.; Sango and Kohaku compete to kill the grass demon. Kagura tries to figure out what Goryomaru means to Naraku.; Goryomaru tries to get Kagura to help him betray Naraku. The group discover bandits using one of the Goryo Urns to rob villages.; Goryomaru reveals his true identity and attempts to kill everyone.; Sesshomaru intercedes, seeking to kill Moryomaru. But his enchanted blade only provides Moryomaru with more demonic power.; Sesshomaru's power proves to be too great to absorb. And when dawn comes and Inuyasha reverts to half demon, Moryomaru decides to flee.; Moryomaru sends Kagura to return Kohaku so he can take the Shikon Shard in the boy's back.; When Kohaku agrees to go willingly to Goryomaru in order to make an attempt to kill him, Kagura orders him to flee. Realizing that Kagura is planning to betray both Naraku and Goryomaru, Hakudoshi attempts to kill her.
