Kid Colt saves the marshal by taking his place, allowing the lawman to retire with a clean record.; A thief robs a stagecoach and finds his escape thwarted at every turn. He finally succumbs to his inevitable fate, as a posse catches up to him in the desert, just in time to save his life.
