Archie uncovers a plot to swindle Mr. Lodge out of his Alaskan property. Lodge's crooked foreman has convinced him that there is nothing valuable on the land, when in fact there is gold to be mined.; Archie offers to get rid of the mice infesting Mr. Lodge's cabin, and takes Jughead along to help.; Archie and Jughead find that the de-mousing job us more complicated than they planned, and Mr. Lodge's cabin is nearly destroyed in the process.
