A couple whose marriage is fraying have a bust-up when the wife agrees to look after a friend's baby for the weekend and she can't get the baby to stop crying.; After breaking up with Mack, Helen gets rid of the things that remind her of him, but she can't get rid of the Sinatra record with "My Blue Heaven".; On the train to meet her fiance for the weekend, Jill meets Jack who jokes about climbing a hill with her, but they don't speak much after he discovers she is engaged. Jill is disappointed when she discovers that her fiance wants to spend the weekend with a business associate and his wife. She gives him back her ring and tells him if he wants to see her, she will be on the top of the hill at eight o'clock. That evening, she climbs the hill, hoping her fiance won't be there and discovers that Jack is there instead.; Having settled in the small village of Denbymoor after leaving her home in Middlepool, Yvonne goes into the village to look for a job and encounters a blind mechanic.; Peg and Stan offer to help Sue and her boyfriend pick plums from her grannie's orchard, but get their directions mixed up and end up picking plums from the wrong orchard.; When the neighbor brags about his pet dog, Garfield decides he has to get a dog too.; Tab brags about the love letters he writes to Linda and offers to write some for Cliff to send to his girlfriend Barbara. Later, when Tab asks Linda about his latest letter, she says it was nice, but not as good as the ones Barbara gets from Cliff.; Ava and Tony have been married for six months, but they live one street away from Tony's parents and his mother is always dropping by to help. It makes her feel she's not looking after Tony properly and she wonders what she can do without making a scene.
