A rancher's son tries to frame homesteader Boze Cullen in a card game. Failing at that, he burns down Cullen's buildings and Cullen decides to get revenge. But it doesn't work out the way he planned.; Elias Dunne, the one-armed man they call "Captain Doom," hooks up with a gang of drifters. After he kills a horse thief that tries to out-draw him, the gang tells him to leave. But before he does he hears them plotting to rob a bank in a nearby town.; An outlaw returns home to his wife and son, wounded after a gunfight over a poker game. He decides to stay and fix up the rundown ranch and stays straight for two years.
