As Proof and Julia return home from Oslo he tells her how in 1860 he went to Russia to find Julia and discovered she'd given birth to a son with the same appearance as her and whom Thomas named "Gulliver." Thomas couldn't handle the child's appearance and smothered the infant to death. When Julia died the same night from childbirth complications, Thomas had both of them stuffed and turned into an attraction; Mi-Chen-Po was outraged to see what became of them.; Lawrence uses the nail the Chupacabra smuggled to he and Dachshund and attempts to escape the Lodge, but the fairies assault him, he loses the nail and the creatures eat him alive. The Chupacabra collects the nail and promises to provide the fairies with more sport for hunting.
