Felice was adopted by the wealthy Hackwood family as a baby, and is expected to marry their son Bonner. On a skiing trip, Felice falls in love with medical student Tucker but tells him she’s going to marry Bonner. Bonner is mentally ill as the result of a childhood accident, and while on their honeymoon he attempts to kill himself and Felice. They both survive, and Tucker operates on Bonner’s brain, curing his illness. Felice has her marriage to Bonner annulled, and weds Tucker. Bonner marries his nurse.; WAC Nadine marries airman Wes in Hawaii. He’s sent to Korea and she’s forced to resign because she’s pregnant. She goes home to her wealthy parents and has her child. No word comes from Wes. Nadine learns her parents didn’t approve of him and tried to keep him away. However, Wes refused to go and he and Nadine (and their baby) are reunited.; Kay becomes engaged to Brian but she’s responsible for her “young and foolish” sister Tawny. Brian says Tawny is old enough to fend for herself, and Kay breaks up with him because he refuses to wait to get married. When Tawny starts dating playboy Eden, Kay asks Brian to date her sister and keep her safe. Kay thinks Brian has fallen in love with Tawny, but he actually set her up with his friend Nick. Nick and Tawny will wed, and now Kay can marry Brian with a clean conscience.; After an auto accident in which her friends are killed and she is injured, Twila goes to stay with her aunt & uncle in California, and meets Boyd. They fall in love and get engaged, but Twila learns Boyd is a professional midget-racer driver. Twila and Boyd nearly break up, but she decides she loves him enough to stay—-and then Boyd says he was going to quit racing anyway and open a business.
