Red Ryder and Little Beaver find a dead miner, shot in the back. The only clue is a card in the hand of the dead man, an ace of clubs. The fifth miner killed this way, and the Sheriff suspects Mr. Boyle, who has bought up all the dead men's claims.; A bank messenger is wounded and robbed and the only clues Red has is the neckerchief of one of the two robbers, and a dropped .45 bullet.; Little Beaver and Po-ko witness a stage robbery and are taken along on the stage by the robbers. They escape and take both the robbers and the stolen money back to the railroad camp.
