A piece of kryptonite that has menaced Superman as both green and red kryptonite has now become gold kryptonite, which could permanently remove Superman's superpowers. But it is discovered by the people of Kandor who dispatch a team to send the rock to the Phantom Zone. The team members lose their superpowers and after some adventures with Jimmy Olsen, Superman provides them a home outside of Kandor.; Pete Corey cheats to win a contest that has Superman fulfill three wishes for the winner. Pete tries to have Superman deliver riches to the Crime Syndicate's treasury, but is tricked by Superman, captured, and the treasury is shut down.; Clark enters Marine boot camp for training to write a story on the experience. His training sergeant is interested in Lois Lane and tries to sabotage Clark's weekend pass to a dance, but as Superman, Clark meets every challenge.; A Navy seaman buys a model of a ship so he can give orders instead of taking them.
