The Baron and his henchmen go on a crime spree and the Doom Patrol are unable to stop him. The Chief believes that the Baron is somehow connected to General Immortus, and he tells the team how he first encountered the General, who wanted to obtain the secret of life.; The Chief continues his story, telling how he was killed by General Immortus and restored to life by his robot assistant, and how the General has been trying to get the secret from him ever since. Later, the Doom Patrol encounters the Baron again, who captures them.; The Baron unmasks, revealing himself to be General Immortus, and threatens to kill the Doom Patrol unless Caulder gives him the secret. The heroes escape and the General is killed trying to get away.
