Having dropped out of sight for some time, the Sivana Family tries to measure the power of the "Shazam" lightning, but fails. However, Junior discovers the existence of an element named Protium that would provide the power needed to do so, so the trio heads for the Rock of Eternity to travel into the past and future top secure it, something the wizard Shazam warns the Marvel Family of.; Sivana, greeting his nefarious children with their charges, takes the three elements: Protieum, Neutrium and Electrium, mixes them together and with them creates a shell around the Earth, preventing the Shazam lightning from changing Billy, Mary and Freddy into the Marvel Family.; Captain Marvel follows Sivana back to the present as the evil scientist heads for the lab of Dr. Patterson, seeking out the element Neutrium, also needed to get power greater than the Shazam lightning. Sivana gets what he wants, kidnapping Billy Batson and murdering the Professor.; Mary travels into the past to the lost city of Atlantis, seeking out Georgia Sivana, who has already found the source of Protium at Professor Chal-Patzun's. She grabs it and Mary Batson as her prisoner, and heads back to the present time.; As Captain Marvel Junior heads into the future, the descendant of Professor Chal-Patzun discovers his ancestor's lab and the fact that the Protium has changed into Electrium, which can be used to raise ancient Atlantis. But Sivana Jr. knocks out Freddy Freeman and kills Chass Passon, grabs the element and returns to the present with it and Freeman.
