Kyon gets a little too heated over Haruhi's treatment of Mikuru during filming and his blow up threatens to escalate Haruhi to potentially dangerous levels.; While visiting a tourist attraction on a lake, the S.O.S. Brigade becomes involved with a search for a missing boy. While Kyon searches using conventional methods, Haruhi attempts to use Shinto ritual to summon the boy.; Kyohn tries a new strategy to keep Haruhi grounded in reality, but has he only made things worse.; Koizumi realizes that Haruhi is unconsciously influencing reality to resemble her film when Mikuru begins emitting laser beams from her eyes and Shamisen the stray cat starts talking.; At the cultural festival, Mikuru is shanghaied to be a server in Tsuruya's costume cafe, while Haruhi and Yuki substitute for two members of a student rock band called "The Live".; Kyon's little sister invades the cultural festival and accidentally gets caught on stage during a class play.
