Basara, Maria and Yuki all unexpectedly intercede on Mio's behalf against Lars.; In flashback, Basara as a young boy is forced to unleash his deadly inner power, the "Banishing Shift", on a fellow demon hunter to save himself and Yuki from the possessed youth. In the present, Mio confronts Lars on her own to save Basara and Maria from harm.; Yuki warns Mio to stay away from Basara for his own good and tries force when she won't agree. Basara tumbles to Lars' impersonation and forces him to reveal himself.; Basara forges an uneasy truce with Lars. Meanwhile the Hero Tribe dispatches two more demon hunters to assist Yuki with Mio.; The sudden appearance of Yuki induces feelings of possessiveness and jealousy in Mio, which may or may not be the result of the servant bond she has with Basara.; Maria makes an inappropriate suggestion for a present for Mio's birthday.; Maria manages to make a dinner menu sound lewd.
