Scientist Peter Tam works as a graveyard keeper to conduct experiments on the deceased. When he succeeds in waking a corpse he fatally choses to revive a homicidal maniac.; Tod Tilstrom, window display designer at a big store, abuses his manikins. An especially hideous one comes alive, chases him and substitutes Tod for itself in the window display.; Jonathan Lodge comes to Salem, New England, to disprove theories that one of his ancestors was a witch. When he finds a magic crystal with the soul of a man trapped inside, Lodge delves into witchcraft himself, with tragic consequences.
