Mose, posing as Pogo, tells Rackety Coon Chile about the gold at the end of the rainbow. Albert and Howland are listening in, and when Pogo and Churchy fire rockets and flares, are convinced they see a rainbow. In the process, goblins and voodoo giants get mixed into this concoction of prime nonsense; Churchy and Toadie cheat Pogo out of his lunch, after which Pogo joins Albert in a showboat cabaret performance. Churchy reappears as a pirate captain; Owl captures a batch of bugs named Adam in order to make an "Adam" [Atom] bomb.; The swamp critters dress in costume to see who is the best actor.; On a moonlight boatride, Albert and Pogo get lost and meet Howland and Willow, lost as well. In the dark the protagonists imagine many horrors; Pogo and Albert get on each others nerves while spending a rainy day together at Albert's house.; Pogo catches a boatload of catfish, but Churchy and Owl dress up as pirates to steal the fish for dinner.; Albert plays sick in order to make Pogo give him a freshly baked cake, but Howland and Churchy end up eating most of it.
