Flint infiltrates a secret German base in France that is operating Komet rocket fighters. He poses as forced labour, and is captured after planting his explosives. Taken for interrogation before Gruber, he jumps his guard and makes good his escape in an Me 109, as the base explodes behind him.; Captured near Tobruk in 1941, former England centre-forward Ginger Baker uses his footballing skills to help him and his captain escape Italian captivity - with a little help from an Italian football fan.; Len is posted to train in America, and starts on bi-planes. His father's ghostly S.E. 5 appears to help him navigate back to base when he gets lost, and the next day re-appears to scare away some alligators when Len and his instructor crash in the Everglades. An early-model helicopter rescues them from the swamp.; An opportunistic attempt to kill Hitler fails when Mike's bomb fails to explode. Mike is interrogated, but freed by the German resistance. Next day he boards a Berlin bound train, but it runs into a Russian spearhead and is derailed. Mike kills a German anti-tank crew but is wounded in the process.; Kane's squadron do battle with the luftwaffe as the invasion of France starts. Kane gets shot down, and commandeers a motor-bike to take him back to his airfield.; The regiment arrive on Crete and are guided into position near Maleme. They prepare defences and are dive-bombed.
