An innkeeper sells his highwayman robber-friend to the police. The robber gets hanged and his ghost returns to ruin the innkeeper's business.; "The Matterhorn, a huge, awesome mountain, which stands as a challenge to alpine climbers, was the scene of a strange disaster twenty-three years ago..." When one climber weakens on the way up, he is killed by the other. Reaching the top of the mountain, the dead man waits for his murderer and pushes him off the edge.
