Neil Hudson works as a roustabout at an amusement park. A phantom woman speaks to him warning about accidents which are going to happen in the next hours. Hudson follows her advice and prevents those accidents from happening. The woman is a "carnival crazy" lady who died years ago.; Baron Hauser posesses a magic statue of himself containing his soul and drawing all evil upon it. The more Hauser gets involved into political corruptions and personal killings, the more the statue shows signs of deformation (like in "The Picture of Dorian Gray"). One day the overburdened statue crumbles - burying the baron under it.; Ross Bridger visits a balkan land and a spooky castle. There he meets Chorta, a she-devil who can transform into a cat. Chorta wants Ross to be her prince of evil. Ross escapes but is followed to the United States. In a showdown on a stormy night he can kill the cat with a magical dagger.; A love triangle leads to murder and from there on to purgatory. The protagonist has to relive the events culminating in death over and over again.; "Foremost among mexican matador's was Antonio de Valera. He is still spoken of wherever lovers of bullfighting gather..." Valera is killed by a bull in Monterrey, but his ghost fights the next day in Mexico City - as he promised to do.; "A mysterious incident that has defied explanation occured in 1909. The british cargo ship Victoria was headed across the Atlantic..." When the Victoria runs into trouble amidst a storm, the passengers are saved by another ship passing by. This other ship turns out te be a long missing ghost ship.
