An old man in a boarding house tells a woman that he is being hunted by a shape-shifting alien. He dies of a heart attack and the woman is relieved, since she is the alien and will not have to kill him.; A gang boss who always wears a hood makes his underlings curious about what lies beneath so one of them uses a knife on him when he's asleep and discovers that the hood really was his head.; This story shows an ordinary movie crowd reacting to a film of alien invasion. When the film ends, the people gather their coats and belongings to go home. The Earth is depicted in the night sky and the reader realizes the story took place on Mars.
