While in the hospital the school board hires a substitute principal who is a drill sergeant.; It is 80s theme day at the school and the Archies participate in a battle of the bands with other bands inspired by 80's music.; After Reggie ties Archie up as a prank, Jingles appears to help Archie get revenge.; Super Duck is tired of canned food and decides to go out to a restaurant.; When Archie doesn't get Veronica's name in the Secret Santa drawing he tries to trade find out who did get her name and make a trade.; Archie gets a job as a department store Santa Claus.; Melody becomes head of the school Anti-Superstition League and tries to show everyone that it's bad luck to be superstitious.; Josie and Pepper, clad in backpacks and short shorts, are looking for a forest so they can pass their Woodsman test for the Girl Guides. Alex takes them to a specially-built jungle in the back of his estate.; Veronica went to the country club teen mixer, Betty to the teen association party. Both events are so boring that the girls duck out, and are pleasantly surprised to find each other at the movie theater.; The faculty puts on a show for the Riverdale sports programs. Mr. Weatherbee wants to do something different this year, a magic act.; Mr. Weatherbee is all alone at Christmas time with a broken foot but the gang decides to visit him.; After doing most of the Christmas shopping online, the girls realize they forgot one person on their list and have to brave the mall crowds to get the last present.; The necessary pruning of the giant fir on the Lodge Estate has Mr. Lodge depressed over the upcoming holiday season.
