The Archies are annoyed when they hear that Mr. Lodge and his business cronies are making a lot of money on the Riverdale Music Festival, but they have more surprises coming.; Scoop Scanlon, the editor of the school newspaper, writes misleading headlines to get more people to read it, but Archie and Jughead give him a dose of his own medicine.; Archie is helping his friends with their Christmas chores to make money to buy Christmas presents.; Veronica wants Archie to play Santa Claus so he tries to get his Santa suit altered.; Both Betty and Veronica feel badly about their presents to each other: Betty, because hers to Veronica are homemade and inexpensive, and Veronica because hers to Betty are so expensive. Betty feels she should spend more money and Veronica feels she should make something homemade and from the heart. Sugar Plum makes them realize that they love their gifts from each other.; Leo and Edgar discuss how Fred was an athletic star in high school and Archie is not.; Reggie is afraid the new girl will see the zit on his face.; Archie is tired with how often other guys asks to dance with Veronica, so he goes to dance with another girl.; Veronica throws a western themed party the same night Mr. Lodge is having an important client over for dinner.; The Archies play a show at a roller rink.; Miss Grundy convinces Mr. Weatherbee that Archie is indeed a good boy.; Jealous of the attention Jughead gets for his dishes, Reggie decides to bake a pie.; The gang only has a few dollars to buy a tree and get refreshments for the school Christmas party so they decide to chop down their own tree.; Archie must be as clandestine as possible in buying gifts for Betty and Veronica when he spots them shopping in the same store he's in.; Veronica is helping Betty with her magic act for the school talent show.; Archie stubs his toe and lets Veronica take Reggie to a country club dance.; Archie has ambitions to learn to play the trumpet, but his tin ear gets in the way.; Betty finds out that Archie moved their dinner date up so he could meet Veronica later on, so she makes a gastronomic nightmare for his dinner with her.; Archie and Betty deal with the wind.; Archie doesn't want the girls to know he is playing Santa at the department store, but it does help Betty get a date with him.; Mr. Lodge goes to extraordinary lengths to ensure that he can spend the Christmas holidays with his family and without Archie and the gang.; The Christmas spirit affects the students of Riverdale.; Archie breaks the Christmas tree decorations, so the gang makes decorations out of food, but Jughead promptly eats them.; The professor teaches physics by example, showing the students the science behind opening a stubborn jar.; Reggie and Archie annoy two contractors painting one of the classrooms.; The kids are having a dance party at Veronica's house, but have to keep moving the party as they are too noisy for Mr. Lodge, and Mrs. Lodge is using the terrace for her bridge club.
