The day before Veronica's living room is due to be re-decorated, Archie gets Mr. Lodge's permission to throw a "graffiti party," where everyone is free to paint messages that will be covered up by the new paint job.; Coach Kleats desperately wants a tall new student for the basketball team, but the boy is only interested in poetry.; Fred won't give Archie more money because first priority is paying the bills. But Fred is late paying the electric bill, and the lights go out just as Archie and Veronica are sitting on the couch together.; Archie makes an old-fashioned silent comedy film, and the girls supply lots of custard pies for the big slapstick scene.
