Archie and Jughead think Reggie has bought Moose's car. When it won't start, the pair pretend to try to fix the engine, when in reality, they are taking it apart. When Moose comes by, Archie and Jughead painfully learn that Reggie was just taking a test drive and the car, what's left of it, is still Moose's.; Mr. Lodge has some jewelry that needs repairs and puts it in the pocket of his sport coat. Unknown to him, Archie has an identical sport coat, and takes Mr. Lodge's when he leaves for the evening. When Archie finds the jewelry in his pocket, he thinks he's a kleptomaniac and will end up in prison for taking it.; Veronica sends Archie to get a section of garden hose. He meets Moose and Midge and mentions that Veronica sent him to get some hose. Midge thinks he means nylon stockings and tells Moose he should get some for her. An embarrassed Moose goes to a lingerie shop to buy the stockings, but is seen by all the gang going in and out.; Miss Grundy has Archie and Jughead clean Mr. Weatherbee's office. As they are doing so, they notice a bee hive in the tree outside the office window. Archie decides to use the vacuum cleaner to get rid of the bees. They then leave for an assembly, leaving the vacuum cleaner full of angry bees for Mr. Weatherbee.; Reggie and Betty plot to make Archie late for school on the first day of the new semester so he won't get the seat by Veronica in history class. Miss Grundy unintentionally throws a wrench in the works.; Reggie and Archie forget to do their history homework and decide the day would be a good one to play hooky by going fishing at the Old Pond. Unfortunately, that was the same spot Mr. Weatherbee used to go when he played hooky as a boy.; Archie reads a corny love poem to Veronica, who likes it and kisses him. Reggie decides that stunt would work for him, too, and buys a poem from Jughead. After bragging about how he was up all night writing the poem, Reggie reads it to Veronica, who is furious, since it's the same poem that Archie read to her before.; When the school elevator operator is out sick, Miss Grundy recruits Jughead to run the elevator.; Jughead is umpire for a kids' baseball game and isn't wearing a mask. After getting hit on top of the head by a foul ball, Jughead dons a mask--to cover the top of his head.; Archie thinks he's been drafted when he gets a letter that begins "Greetings from your Uncle Sam!"
