To prove that the love of a good woman can cure him of his eating habit, the girls set Jughead up with the irresistibly sweet Lovey Laverne, and Jughead promptly falls in love with her.; Archie rips his coat pocket on a doorknob as he and Veronica are going out on a date. Veronica brings him over to Betty's house to get it fixed, and Betty tries to delay their date by taking as long over the sewing as she possibly can.; The girls face a rival in the shapely form of Virginia Cleary, a seductive, boy-crazy girl who just moved to town.; To get her away from Archie, Veronica gets Betty hired as the first female disc jockey at Mr. Lodge's radio station.
