Veronica tells Archie that Betty is a "peroxide blonde." When Archie tells Betty this, Betty gets a list of all the cosmetics that Veronica has bought at the drug store that month.; Veronica wants to get a date with Reggie because Reggie is driving his cousin's sports car. She gets the date, but it doesn't turn out like she expected.; Betty turns down a date with Archie because she had made plans to go bowling with Veronica. Both girls then decide that a date with Archie would be better than bowling, so they make a mad rush to Archie's house. After a slapstick disaster at Archie's house, the girls end up bowling with Jughead.; When Miss Grundy asks the girls to "get Archie" for her, they tell her they've been trying to "get" Archie for years. The rest of the plot flows around literal meanings of common slang terms, with Betty and Veronica being too smart for their own good and the oblivious Archie ending up with a date with a new girl.; Archie is going to toss a dart to see who his date for tonight will be. Veronica gets to decide the design of the target.; Betty waits by the phone for Archie to call. She gets so frustrated while waiting that when Archie does call, she turns down the date.; Jinx draws a heart with her name and Greg's on a tree. After seeing Greg with Ga Ga, Jinx crosses out the heart and makes a triangle with the three names.
