Archie helps her and manages to vacuum up a $2 million check that Mr. Lodge was going to use to pay for a diamond.; Archie and Reggie make a bet about who can get out of serving detention, driving Mr. Weatherbee to distraction.; Archie gets a splinter in his finger and Veronica takes him to the school nurse. Reggie teases him, but Veronica thinks it gives him a certain flair. At least until other girls find it attractive, too.; Archie is Mr. Lodge's caddy in a big rivalry match with J. P. Pennypincher and he makes sure Mr. Lodge will win by fair means or foul.; All the boys in the school have to give blood samples for medical research. Jughead's blood turns out to be unusual.; Archie has been tying his jalopy to objects when he parks so his car won't blow away just in case a hurricane comes along. Thinking Mr. Lodge is in Chicago, Archie goes to see Veronica when he hears she is ill.; Jinx has her mother reach under the couch to find her caterpillars.; Reggie and Archie make idle conversation, but everything they say reminds Jughead of food.; When Greg injures his finger, Jinx gives him a practical gift for Christmas.; Veronica is upset when Jughead won't take her cousin to the dance.; Jughead hasn't played in a baseball game all season.
