With Christmas coming up, the Black Giant kidnaps Santa's helpers and is holding them for ransom. Mother Goose comes by and comes up with a plan where she will dress up as Santa to fool the Black Giant. She takes the Giant on a tour of the Candy Mine and tricks him into falling into the taffy springs.; The Three Blind Mice, who aren't really blind, visit Mother Hubbard, only to find that she has no food. During the night they take some of her needlework to the butcher shop to trade for some meat, but are interrupted when they make too much noise.; The farmer intends to have Goosey Gander for Christmas dinner. The Fox invites Goosey to stay at his house, but intends to have the gander for HIS dinner.; Little Jack Horner puts in an order for a pie at the Pieman's shop, where he meets Simple Simon. The two boys talk to Humpty Dumpty, but the egg falls off a window sill and cracks his head. Jack and Simon run off to get Jack and Jill to do repair work on Humpty, but find they are out of brown paper and vinegar--the materials they used to heal Jack when he fell down the hill. The Pieman comes to the rescue with a sticky pie that holds Humpty's head together.; Mary is sent to her room for being contrary. There an angel takes her to "Contraria", a nightmarish land where every object can talk and always contradicts what Mary says. Mary learns her lesson and the angel brings her back to her room.; A Christmas-themed take-off on the nursery rhyme "There Was a Crooked Man."; A father's attempt to stand on a rocking horse to trim the Christmas tree ends badly.
