When a water pond is dug on the Brown ranch, it turns out to be a quicksand trap for King. Donald, Velvet's little brother, manages to get himself caught in a blazing truck while trying to help King escape.; Velvet's father and his farm hand receive leg injuries while retrieving a stray cow during a blizzard and Velvet and King have to rescue them.; While out riding, King and Velvet are attacked by a stallion that jumps a fence. After King fights off the stallion, the Browns are sued for damages by the stallion's vindictive owner, who wants King killed.
