Smokey teaches a Specs and a group of beavers how to become "smokejumpers"--fire fighters who parachute into remote fire areas.; Specs gets into a feud with a herd of buffalo and finds himself in danger when he gets pinned beneath rocks in the path of a grass fire.; A puma causes problems when he scares the beavers that Smokey needs to cut down some trees.; Smokey and Little Smokey build a bed of pine boughs to break Specs' fall from a branch of a tree.; Smokey posts a detour sign after he is disturbed by animals crossing over him as he tries to nap by a tree.; Little Smokey and Specs tease a turtle for carrying his house on his back, but find the tables turned when a sudden shower comes up.
