He hires a couple of young women to make singing commercials, which makes Tillie jealous so she goes with Yip Zoompy to the fair while Mac works.; Tillie has a crush on Hefty Luggins, a weight-lifter whose parents moved in across the street.; Tillie has the lead in the Dandy Amateur Players play and Mac is the understudy for ten roles.; Mac is pressed into service to wear Tillie's bridesmaid gown, while Tillie's mother does alterations.; While on a sales trip, Mac spends so much time writing post cards to Tillie that he doesn't make any sales and is fired.; A "quiet walk" with Tillie turns into an expensive night on the town, with Mac footing the bill.
