Mickey becomes a private investigator. A man hires him to trail his wife to keep her from cheating on her diet. While doing that Mickey becomes involved with a gang of shoplifters.; While vacationing in Shark Bay, Mickey and Goofy find a message in a bottle that has a map to a treasure in a sunken ship in the bay. Black Pete has disguised himself as a hermit on the shore of the bay and tries to steal the treasure.; Mickey finds a small pup that whistles. The pup has run away from the circus and Mickey returns him and receives a reward. The pup runs away again and when Mickey returns him this time, the circus owner has him arrested, thinking he has stolen the pup to receive another reward.; Mortie and Ferdie intentionally drop dishes so they won't have to wash them. Mickey foils their scheme by putting a mattress by the sink.; Mickey owns a clock repair shop and advertises an "Any clock repaired for only one dollar!!" sale.
